About the Event

Your favorite intersectional Late Show, #OTVTonight, returns with another genre-defying evening of premieres and stunts to take us to a new dimension, this time . . . in person. That’s right! For the first time since 2019, Open Television (OTV) is back; live and in living color right here at the MCA.

For this special edition of #OTVTonight, witness the world premiere of hand-picked shorts and pilots created by 2021–2022  #OTVFellows. These dynamic storytellers are recipients of OTV’s annual fellowship program, now in its fifth year, providing support, mentorship, and education to intersectional filmmakers from Chicago and beyond.

Join us for this special night of performances, creator interviews, a live DJ, a few special surprises, and of course, a return to fellowship. Remember, the future of television is intersectional. If you don’t believe it, let OTV show you.

About Open Television (OTV)

OTV | Open Television is a nonprofit streaming platform and media incubator for intersectional storytelling, with artists and their creative visions at the center. Since launching in 2015 as a research project housed at Northwestern University, OTV has transformed the way the film and television industry supports independent artists and communities marginalized by their race, gender, sexuality, class, disability, or nationality. Through intentional artistic development and holistic community development, the award-winning organization provides a network of care to identify, activate, and mobilize the next generation of storytellers.
