About the Event
Enjoy a screening of short films programmed by Chicago-based organization Jupiter, including It’s Just a Fucking Opening (2025), which delves into a young artist’s experience of her own opening as she juggles the complexities of the social world around her. Named after a 1979 commencement speech by Toni Morrison, Ambition and Nurturing Sensibilities explores the tensions ignited amid the simultaneous pursuit of sustaining both a creative practice and intimate relationships.
