About the Artist

Chelsea B is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist focused on streetwear design and fiber arts. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, she grew up excelling in sports with an interest in design, watching cooking shows, and doodling. In high school she learned how to crochet and she went on study at SCAD (The Savannah College of Art and Design), where she discovered her true passion for fiber arts and fashion, and earned her BFA in surface design and textiles with a minor in fashion design.

Through House of Chelsea B, she combines her tactile skills with her love of color to create unique wearable pieces blending sports and casual fashion with crochet. From shoe customizations to upcycling thrifted pieces to unique and avant garde outerwear and accessories, Chelsea B is a dynamic talent who is only getting better.

She has worked in partnership with a number of brands including Jordan, Nike, Adidas, Lyrical Lemonade, and WNDR Museum. She has had the opportunity to create custom pieces for Ciara,  Coi LerayMegan Thee StallionLizzo, and many more.

Her work has been featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, rap artist Flo Milli in Refinery Magazine’s January 2021 feature, artist Baby Tate’s “I AM” music video (March 2021), and singer Lucky Daye‘s video “Over” (September 2021). She is the season 1, episode 5, winner of OMG Fashun featuring Julia Fox and Law Roach.

With her trusted faith, personal style, social influence, and spirit of collaboration, Chelsea B hopes to continue to expand the narrative of fiber arts and fashion while centering community.
