About the Event

What does your heart beat for? Honor passion, textiles, and those who came before us.

Designed for children under 12 and their grown-ups, MCA Family Days invite our youngest visitors to be the museum’s artists, thinkers, and collaborators.

About the Artists

Bryana Bibbs is a Chicago-based artist who works with textiles, printmaking, and community-based practices. Bibbs founded “The We Were Never Alone Project – A Weaving Workshop for Victims and Survivors of Domestic Violence,” and currently serves on the Surface Design Association’s Education Committee. Bibbs has taught with organizations and institutions such as The Art Institute of Chicago, The Design Museum of Chicago, The Elmhurst Art Museum, Awakenings Art, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

Chi Nwosu is a Black, queer, nonbinary artist based in Chicago. Their spirit-led practice explores identity, social justice, and the human experience. Through their work, Chi invites viewers to imagine a world rooted in love, collective liberation, and interconnection—offering a reminder of our shared power and inherent divinity.
